Our services are filled with life and laughter and, yes, even fun.
WHO ARE WE?
We belong to the United Church of Christ, a mainline, Protestant denomination. It is progressive, and it is concerned about racial, social, and environmental justice.
We come together each week to worship and recharge our faith. Our message is simple: God loves us, and so we strive to embody that love in the world in which we live.
We are real people, even with all our flaws. The United Church of Rowayton is an Open and Affirming church, and so we welcome everyone.
WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE LIKE?
Services begin at 10:15 (September through June; Christmas and Easter have special times) and last about an hour. They are thematic – the hymns, prayers, and sermons contribute to the message. Although they share a basic format, no two services are quite the same.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
We believe kids should have fun while they learn about Jesus. Sunday school follows the Children’s Moment with the pastor. We also offer Infant and Toddler care during the service.
WHERE IS THE UNITED CHURCH OF ROWAYTON LOCATED?
We are located at 210 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton CT. You can’t miss our award-winning church. Drive around the buildings to the right, park, and follow the white signs to our House of Worship.
WHAT IS PLAN YOUR VISIT?
Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. Guests don’t know where to park, what to wear, what to do with the kids, or where to sit.
We think church should be a place where guests are made to feel welcome. When you visit, we’ll have someone ready to greet you, answer your questions, introduce you to some people, and make you feel like a VIP.
