Vocal and instrumental music is the very heartbeat of the United Church of Rowayton.  It expresses devotion, builds community, and shapes and strengthens our emotional and spiritual experience, bringing us closer to God.

Choir

Our Choir enhances the worship experience.  It leads and enlivens congregational singing.  Our varied repertoire of beautiful and challenging music invokes a sense of reverence and joy.  It touches people’s souls.  Choir members develop strong musical skills and enjoy a genuine sense of community.  Rehearsals begin in September and continue through May, meeting before the worship service.  All are welcome to join.  The Choir is directed by Ellen Dickinson.

Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choir creates beautiful melodies and harmonies that provide special musical offerings during our worship services.  The ringing of bells is visually captivating, and the sound is ethereal.  The exciting repertoire employs many interesting and challenging bell techniques. This choir has performed in music festivals and in the community.  Rehearsals are held September through May and meet on Thursdays at 6:30 PM.  The Handbell Choir is directed by Rachel Dorset.
