The United Church of Rowayton Caregiving Ministry provides pastoral care to members of our Family of Faith in need.
Caregivers are volunteers who are trained to offer confidential, compassionate and practical care. They reach out to a variety of people such as those who are coping with fatal illnesses, grief, or who are lonely. They help the elderly, the sick, and people who are going through a tough time. They share a word, listen, or just sit quietly as a warm, loving presence. They provide food for people who are homebound. Caregivers do what Jesus taught – they love.
Another thing we love most about this church is how it cares for its congregation. Not just for those who walk through the doors each week, but for those who can’t anymore. Through our caregiving ministry, volunteers visit members who are homebound or isolated, reminding them they’re still a part of this family. C.G.
