Welcome to Our Family of Faith
Welcome to the United Church of Rowayton. Most of our members come from Rowayton and greater Norwalk, Darien, Westport, and Wilton, CT. We are a member of the United Church of Christ. We are a Progressive and an Open and Affirming Church.
Our worship style tends to be less formal than some churches. We mix traditional scripture with contemporary texts, diverse music, and a conversational “message” rather than a more rigid sermon format.
We have a strong community support program and offer events that bring the community onto our campus.
Our sanctuary is a local icon. It isn’t the traditional rectangular building. It is an award-winning structure featuring a sweeping, curved cedar roof that resembles a billowing sail. Inside, our congregation sits around a central altar, allowing everyone to see each other.
