YOU’RE INVITED! COME CELEBRATE EASTER WITH US
Easter is the most important time of the year for Christians. Come and experience it with us. We’re eager to greet you!
March 31-April 14 – Easter Basket Drive Our Board of Christian Outreach invites you to donate an Easter basket filled with Easter candies and small toys. Just drop your donation off in the Meeting House Lobby. They will be given to the Department of Children and Families who give them to needy children.
April 7 – My Heart Sings Out: Lenten Musical Journey 10:15 AM. Communion. Message: Something New. The Lenten Season is a time of preparation and contemplation. Our choir, together with chamber orchestra, will present anthems of reflection, passion, gratitude, and expectation to help us prepare for the resurrection during this special worship service.
April 14 – Palm Sunday Worship Service 10:15 AM. Message: Into Jerusalem. The time of preparation is nearing its inevitable end, yet we are still drawn to the path to Jerusalem. Join us to learn the significance of this day and enjoy the children’s Palm Sunday parade.
April 18 – Maundy Thursday and Tenebrae Worship Service 8:00 PM. Holy Communion and Tenebrae. Maundy Thursday helps us to remember Jesus’ foot washing ceremony and Last Supper with the disciples, while in the ancient service of Tenebrae, candles are gradually extinguished as we experience the emotion of the story of the passion. We are left in near darkness and total devastation.
April 19 – Good Friday Worship Service Noon. Reflection on the Seven Last Words of Jesus. Good Friday helps us understand how the disciples and followers of Jesus must have felt as they witnessed his crucifixion and death. We will be joined by The Rowayton United Methodist Church.
