Children and adults will be a bit warmer this winter thanks to the United Church of Rowayton’s annual clothing drive called Undie Sunday.

The drive runs from January 12-26.

Suggested items include underwear for men, women, and children; T-shirts; sweatshirts and pants; gloves; hats (beanies), and colored socks (no white).  Clothing must be in original packaging.  No used garments can be accepted.

“We want to give children and adults the dignity of being adequately clothed,” said Bill Peltz, chair of the church’s Board of Christian Outreach.  “Spiritual well-being cannot take place unless there is physical well-being.  We’re warming the body and soul.”

Clothing may be dropped off at the Meeting House behind the House of Worship at 210 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton, 9 am-5 pm, through January 26.

The clothing will be distributed to Person-to-Person.
